I have been told that visiting the Genghis Khan Statue is like visiting the Statue of Liberty in New York City. So it is no surprise that our one day tour of Mongolian on May 16th will include a visit to this iconic statue.
The Genghis Khan Statue is the largest statue of Genghis Khan found anywhere in the world. The statue is 40 meters or 130 feet high. You can go into the statue and from the statue take photos of the country side. Learn and discover why the Mongolians conquered the world in the 13th Century. There is a very good visitors center and film that gives an overview of Mongolia and its history.
Here is an overview of the bus tour we will be taking:
Our driver will pick you up at an arranged time. We will travel about 1½ hours to the great statue of Genghis Khan. This statue is not only the largest statue of Chinggis Khan in Mongolia but in the entire world. Its height is 40 meters (130 feet). From the visitor’s center, the top of the statue is accessible by elevator. Here we learn how and why Mongolians conquered the World in 13th century. This vantage point provides great photo opportunities. Also, you could take pictures with Mongolian traditional clothes sitting in the traditional Mongolian ger.
09.00 Bus will pick up some guests from Best Western Hotel at 08.50 am and leave from the BZ Church building and drop by Kempinsky Hotel by 09.15 am
10.00 Arrive at the Statue. But we may drop by a camel and vulture site for photography on the road. The statue has a visitor center provides a quick and historical information.
12.00 Light lunch in the bus. And return to Ulaanbaatar. Depends on the traffic we will arrive in Ulaanbaatar around 2.00 pm.
