Giving Back to our communities is one of the focuses of the BYU Management Society. As part of the BYU MS Mongolia Conference we are seeking your help by Giving Back by Giving Warmth to impoverished children in Mongolia who are in dire need of proper winter clothing, winter boots and school supplies.
During the brutal winter months, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia has the worse air pollution in the world (see our last post on how the BYU Capstone Ger Project is seeking to help solve this - One Ger at a Time). The air pollution is causing a lot of harm to the health of Mongolia’s children.
But what many do not realize is that many of these same children are now having to live under extreme winter weather changes, which is causing some even harsher bitter cold weather during the already cold winter months. UNICEF recently estimated that due to these ever new harsh winter weather cycles, many Mongolian children just do not have adequate clothing to be able to properly attend school so their education is suffering. Poor families are just not equipped to give their children all the winter coats and boots they need to survive this ever harsher winter weather.
